Let's Check In November 2012 Sleevers!

Recommended Posts

I am 11 pounds away from goal of 140. Starting weight 240. 5 more pounds will put me into a size 8 pant. I am very happy right here at a 10 but Dr. wants me to go all the way so I have some wiggle room when I get on a maintenance plan. Which is hard for me to imagine eating any more than I do now. I get full fast, or don't feel well. I too will need a Tummy Tuck and MY ARMS. I have about 3" of ugly skin hanging. I am saving my $ for that, next year.

Everyone is looking great!! If you feel half as good as I do about the weight loss, we are one happy group of people. Happiness brings peace, right?

Ainslee

Hello everyone!!! It's been awhile since I posted anything on here. Things didn't go like I imagined they would.... had a lot of problems , but now finally on the mend. To date I have lost a total of 77 lbs , went from a size 22 to a comfortable 14.... Not at the size I was hoping for being 7 months out , but I'll take it!!! Just now able to tolerate food. I'm taking in 600 calories a day , which got me is good . Glad everyone is doing so well.

Thanks!!!!! Feels good to be somewhat back to myself. I got really depressed for awhile .... I gave a new meaning to " buyers remorse" . I still have some trouble eating , take it day by day , but am glad of the decision I made!!!

Not at all.... My new tummy wouldn't tolerate any food or liquid for that matter. My Gerd became extremely worse, no meds would help. I stayed dehydrated.... In and out of the hospital getting I.V's . My surgeon said that I was in a cycle that he referred to as 'Marianne" syndrome.... It starts with not being able to hydrate yourself and continually vomiting . I'm doing some better, can take in 600 calories on a good day. Finally have the right acid meds... thank God for Protonix!!!!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
