Out of curiosity, has anyone's PCOS dramatically improved or was eliminated after being sleeved? If so, approximately how long after being sleeved did you see the change?

Also, how has the side effects (hirsutism, cysts, irregular menstruals, etc.) of PCOS improved for you?

I'm right at 16 days post op, and have been wondering the same thing. No changes for me, yet..I expect things to start changing when I lose around 40 or 50 pounds..just my guess. I was about 40 lbs lighter last time I had a period. So I'm hoping it will be soon! Id like to know about others and when they were "regular" again, as far as periods, excess hair, etc.

Hi ladies, I am six weeks post op and pre op tom would come around every 8 months or so. I have lost 40 lbs and have noticed a slight change. The facial hair has slowed down a little and today tom came! Actually tom came the day of surgery (6/18) and I had it for two weeks. Also my pms was minor this time. I haven't lashed out yet. I did flip someone off yesterday but I don't think it was pms related... It was road rage ralated... Hmmm maybe it was pms..

I am 10 weeks out... No sig changes yet.

I have Pcos too. My cycles seem to get worst. I had to get a blood transfusion about 3 weeks ago . Due to the heavy bleeding. I was bleeding bad the day of my surgery .I've been in out the hospital My cycle, gallbladder, liver issues , and dehydrated. I have to keep pumping pain meds in me to eat and drink. My doc put me back on birth control. I was told that my cycles would get better. I've lost over 50 lbs in a month because Ive been so sick

I don't regret the surgery because Im off all medications. I go to the doctor today so hopefully my doc can stop my cycle.

If my hubby and I did not want one kid, I would get a hysterectomy.

I'm so glad you posted this. I've been wondering the same thing. I'm six weeks out and hope that there is a time - SOON - when I don't have to worry about excess hair.< /p>

I'm about 12 weeks. Lost around 50.. only thing i have noticed is my "dark" Patches of skin are lightening up a little. And my hair on my face is taking a tiny bit longer to grow.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
