u know...i did get a heparin shot right there.is that why its numb?

I'm not sure if Heparin would've caused it, you might want to ask your Dr. Heperan is a blood thinner and I was told this was an actual anesthetic to relieve discomfort because this was where the stomach was pulled out and it would've been more painful without the numbing med.

I'm 5 weeks out and I had the same pain, but now it's just a little sore and it gets better every day. I even still use a cane to help me get out of the bed so I don't strain my stomach, I just push myself up with my arms and boy does it make a difference! I have had 2 C-Sections and I think this pain was way worse then either one of those ever were!

What you're going through is completely normal. I took prescription pain meds off and in the first 4 weeks. I even called my doctor's office 3 weeks postop crying because I was in so much pain. What helped was to use one of those stick on pads that gets hot with a Spanx type garment over it.

Hang in there. It will get better. I woke up on the 4th week anniversary with no pain. I was sure it would come back, but nope it hasn't and today I'm 7 weeks postop.

Yes, like bengay patch. You might wanna cover the area with gauze before putting on you patch if the incision is bothering you. That way the medicine in the patch doesn't irritate your incision.

I have the same: I think it's fairly normal. Mines still sore when I move a certain way or bend over, so I just don't do those things, lol.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
