Three days ago I had the worst stomach pain mostly on my left side and in my back. It was the worst pain I have ever felt in my life. I couldn't hardly walk or lay down it felt like it would never end. So I went to emergency and the doctor said I have gallstones. I called my surgeon and he has me coming in to see him on Wednesday. The problem is the pain is still there not as back because I have been taking vicodin around the clock and really bad headaches that have not gone away. Help!! I have heard you vmcan get gallstones from rapid weight loss. Has anyone else experience this? I am now 5 months post-op and so happy for the 42 pound loss bit the pain is crazy!!

Happened to me, but I was lucky to have had it caught before it became a problem. I tried to avoid it but it was soon understood that my gallbladder would have to be removed.

When I had the my sleeve my DR. removed my gallbladder at the same time so I would have that problem because I had a few problems with the lap band and getting gallstones...

I had my gallbladder removed about 13 years ago so it wasn't a problem for me post-sleeve. Just wanted to say that it truly is the worst pain ever. I'm a mom of two girls and I would rather go through labor again than have gallstone pain. Sorry, you will feel better after you have it surgically removed. Good luck with everything.

I wanted my doc to remove mine as well but he said I did not have to. I do worry about that happening to me  He did put me on Actigal 300mg, 2X a day, for the next six months. He said this is what he does for his patients and that works thus far. My PCP thought his method of treatment was ok. I take them faithfully. Really hope you will feel better!!!

I'm hoping for my doctor to just give me medication and it works. If Not then it does sound like surgery will be in my future again. I don't min though because I never want to feel that pain again.

M2G.... I told my husband the same thing. I would rather go through childbirth again then go through that.

What about the headaches? Did anyone experience them and what did you do to get relief?

My doctor scheduled me for surgery to remove my gallbladder July 3rd. I'm a little nervous.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
