1St Day Of Liquid Diet

Recommended Posts

I am set to be sleeved on the 27th. Today is D-Day...and so far it hasn't been that bad. Right now I am using Baratric Advantage until my shipment from powders? utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury arrives.

The only complaint I have is....the shakes..they make me feel nauseous. That's good....I don't want to eat anything, bad cause I don't like feeling like I am going to hurl.

I think I might switch to a slimfast shake at least once a day.

I started today too! I was actually kinda surprised at the taste, I was expecting a lot worse!...but I can see it's going to be a bit of a challange...I'm set for August 2nd so I've 3 weeks of shakes and bars....I'm also allowed some vegetables - bell peppers, cucumbers, carrots....that should add some variety and something crunchy :)

Best of luck!

I'm not allowed anything but the shakes. sugar free popicles, crystal light and Jello. But that's ok...I am looking forward to the end result.

I'm on day 4 of my liquid diet and it's been tough!!! I can have some Soups but they have to be strained. Carnation instant Breakfast is on my list so I've been drinking it. I'm scheduled to be sleeved on July 24th an I can't wait!!!

Just found this app last week And I'm so happy to have found it!!! Glad to have people to talk to!

I'm scheduled for the 27th too! Yay! I start my liquid diet first thing in the am. What flavor of the Bariatric Advantage did you get? I picked banana since I'm allowed to add fresh fruit to the shakes.< /p>

Ok, so my first post on the day I started, I said it wasn't that bad....about 30 minutes after that post I had a MASSIVE headache that lasted almost 2 days....I'm sure my body was in SHOCK. I did not prepare before starting, I hit it cold turkey....holy hell, not a good idea. But now I'm in day 4 and it's the first really good day that I haven't cheated (I've only cheated with real food protein) and gotten through just on shakes and bars and carrots, which I'm allowed. I'm feeling good. Your body just needs time to adjust to the huge change! Hope everyone else is getting through!

I started my preop diet today. I can have veggies and my shakes. I am glad I started a month prepping. I gave up cokes, coffee and for Bfast and lunch I have been doing salads with my Protein. I hope I don't get headaches :(

I am 5 days post-op and things are going very well. I was on the liquid diet for two weeks before surgery but I found the shakes to be too sweet. I'm not really in to sweets, it the salty carbs that got me. I was allowed lettuce, carrots, celery and bell peppers to make a salad but by the fourth day I was bored and got creative by adding herbs like cilantro, basil and dill to my salads. By the second week I was craving something warm and eventually began steaming spinach and carrots to get some warm meals. It was

Day 2! I found 2 ready to drink shakes that are yummy. Since I flew for business I had to go shipping when I got here. Luckily I stay in a hotel where I have a fridge. I packed my lunch and off to a full day of training.!!! I remember when I first got my date and all I thought was that is so far away!!! Now it's less than 13 days!!!! The people that I have told are so excited for me and ask lots of questions. I am nervous and excited how are you all handling the wait???

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
