My appendix was already gone. Too bad you had to go through that. I think anytime they go in that area, the appendix acts up. :)

Your doing great. I hope I will be halfway there by Christmas. Good luck to you.

Glad you are doing well. Each day will get better and before you know it you will be able to move around quite well. Try a heating pad for the gas. I found that to be good. I had a hard time with all the liquids too, but its so much better when you get on thicker liquids and mushies. Check out the food section to get some ideas.

Its good to have a Texas crew on this site. Im from Houston my band was done by Dr. Felix Spiegel I think he is the greatest. Welcome Texas Brat and I hope you lose every unwanted pound. If you need an ear Im here for you. Kick butt and drop those lbs.!!!

Hey Texas Brat...

Just wanted to check in with you-- you're more than 1/2 way thru your first week. WOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOO! Never found out where in Texas you are, I'm in the Hwy 6/Katy area. I believe there are others out there kinda close to me.

Tomorrow's my first check up- see the Doc-- let him see me and how all is going. Hopefully there'll be a difference on the official scale. We'll see!

Well I'm real curious as to whether you really saw the doctor. My first week checkup was 5 minutes with a nurse I had never seen. She looked at my scars and said good job. That was it. All of my fills, unfills, have been at the surgicenter. That is a good system. I haven't seen Dr. Spiegel since 5 minutes before surgery.

i think that is common practice in our area. i used spivak and i have not seen him since surgery day. he did sit with me for a few minutes after surgery. ((very kind, gentle man))

i am filled at the surgicenter by the PA Marj(blah blah blah...cant remember her name). i did not have to go in after surgery for a follow-up, just had to make an appointment for my first fill. someone from the doc's office called me about 48 hours or so after surgery and asked some questions about Fluid intake and general "how ya doin?" type questions.

your right Barbara only say the nurse.. but everything is going ok with me everything looks good.. will keep up postin to let everyone know how i am doing..

Dr Felix Spiegel banned on Sept 1st

Starting 272

Today Check up Sept 7th 262 that is 10 pounds gone weeeeeee ..

Glad to see nothing changed and you didn't get better treatment than me. :couch2: I don't think you will ever see him again, unless you have a major problem. I get my fills, unfills, etc. at surgicenter. They take good care of me and I've grown to like the staff there lots. I feel more comfortable with them. However, I haven't had major problems, other than overfills.

Glad you are doing well. Don't forget to keep on drinking the Water and walking. It really helps after surgery, weeks afterwards.

you guys are correct; I only saw the nurse. Weighed in (no change, ugh), flashed her my scars and left. Was there for maybe 10 min total. Don't get me wrong, they're very nice and professional, just didn't see Felix himself. Oh, and I got the go ahead for a fill in a few weeks @ the surgicenter. She said since I'm a cash patient, I should get filled for free for the first year. BTW, nothing is free-- just prepaid!
