Ok ..so I went to a store for the first time..not just digging through my closet and yes..I am finally down one pant size. Now that may no seem like much BUT I haven't seen this size for 11 years much less even squeezed myself into it! They slipped right now and zipped effortlessly with room to spare! (sorry gentlemen..this next part you can disregard!) I also had a change in bra size ..when down a full 2 inches and went up a cup size! LoL ..maybe things just shifted in that aspect! But still who ever heard of going up a cup size wild!!! I am proud of me and my sleeve! I am on a journey and I hope it continues to go well! 9 w and 5 d out and down 49# and I guess that is good!

Great job!! As for the difference in cup size, chances are you weren't wearing the proper one before hand. I noticed in the bigger sizes, that there is much more "wiggle room" in the sizes then there are in the smaller ones. Still, a great feeling to know you haven't lost "there" (at least yet lol).

And YES... 49lbs in 9 weeks is great!

Actually, bra fitting "experts" tell you that if you go down in band size, you have to go up in cup size. There is no real change in their size, it's all perspective of cuts. Same thing happened to me, I dropped from a 40I/J to now a 34G/H. It was tricky because it was like band, band, cup, band, cup, cup, band.

Congrats on your loss! Changing sizes as we loose lbs is so exciting.

I got "sized" at Victoria's Secret the other day and the gal said I was a 39D but they only went up to 38 so I should try a 38DD. I was looking for a full coverage bra and about had a heart attack when she handed me the bra... it looked like watermelons could fit in it. Then the darned thing fit and I was even more irritated. I looked huge and it totally felt like false advertising. I bought a bra but I think I'll end up taking it back. It's just not that comfortable. I've never worn full coverage bras because they're so bulky and I tend to not want to look bigger.

Try a department store to get fitted. I don't shop at VS anymore. They are expensive and don't hold up. Wacoal brand is awesome and pretty!!! Good luck!

I was so glad when I went shopping and realized than I could buy clothes without a W behind the number....... and I went down in bra size to 38 DD from 42 DD and now I love going shopping jeans on clearance 13.00 and 7.00 at walmart....shirts are XL not 2x or even 1x ,..... I'm loving this new body.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
