Quick Question About Tattoos

Recommended Posts

I think it'd be better to get the tattoo after the huge weight loss post surgery.

Tattoos are an artistic expression on the human body.

I feel what distincts an Artist from an ordinary Inker is the way the tattoo conforms to the curvature of the body.

I had my tattoo done long time ago when I was at my ideal weight and honeslty quite strong and muscular, the dragon tatto ran along smoothly with my deltoid and biceps with the head lashing out on my right peck.

As I got older and really much fatter, i noticed the tattoo became somewhat smaller and now there's this whole blank space of skin triceps.

still wondering how it'll look like once i reach my ideal weight...

All said... I'd advise you to ink urself post-op so that the tattoo can be fitted to you at your best.

Are you a baker?

Well, I really really love baking. And taking pictures of baked goods.

Well' date=' I really really love baking. And taking pictures of baked goods.[/quote']

Me too! I love the first tattoo pic I might have to get something similar. Baking is my career.

Im a tattoo artist and im in the process of working on my own sleeve (full arm solid color tattoo) I do a bit on it here and there. I personally stopped working on it for the simple reason that I want my body to have the absolute most energy to heal my surgery and not take any energy away from it for a tattoo.

The healing time on tattoos varies by A. your health B. the skill of your artist and C. how much is done to your skin (black and grey is typically less trama vs Full color)

That said, I specialize in full color and the tattoos I do typically heal in 4 days.

Not related, Ladies PLEASE ask your tattoo artist to see their portfolios. Dont assume that we are all good or can do what you want done. Find someone whos personal style matches yours and get something original lol

OH! i did have an amazing idea! Im seeing dr Ponce in 2 weeks and Im really tempted to tattoo a row of dotted lines across the upper of my belly with "Please read instruction before cutting" lol. OR maybe just HI DR PONCE! :) . I can just imagine the shake of his head lol and it would always be funny to me haha

Oh how I love my tattoos.... It does become am addiction. No flash for me, all of mine are originals. I've made a commitment of not getting any more until I'm at goal.... Which will be hard, but I can do it

I know the OP decided to wait, good thinking! If by chance the tattoo got infected it could delay your surgery. I was told no less then 2 weeks before surgery when I asked my clinic

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
