So i thought it was the actual taste of Protein powders that I cant stand and I finally discovered that it isnt. Its that nasty vomit inducing smell!!
I am pre op and have about 2 weeks until my sleeve surgery and I must find a Protein powder that doesnt stink.
The unjury chocolate splendor is actually pretty tasty.. if I plug my nose, and until I take a breath afterwards. OMG gross.
I have tried a few brands at walmart, most of the unjury flavors and the smell of all of them makes me sick. How am i going to do this after surgery if I cant stomach these at all??

Im a tattoo artist and im in the process of working on my own sleeve (full arm solid color tattoo) I do a bit on it here and there. I personally stopped working on it for the simple reason that I want my body to have the absolute most energy to heal my surgery and not take any energy away from it for a tattoo.
The healing time on tattoos varies by A. your health B. the skill of your artist and C. how much is done to your skin (black and grey is typically less trama vs Full color)
That said, I specialize in full color and the tattoos I do typically heal in 4 days.
Not related, Ladies PLEASE ask your tattoo artist to see their portfolios. Dont assume that we are all good or can do what you want done. Find someone whos personal style matches yours and get something original lol

I too am going to Dr. Ponce in July. I live in San Diego and I have done my research and have been to the INT hospital, met Dr. Ponce, his team and Trish and feel very comfortable. Trish is great. She is a coordinator for Dr. Ponce and lives in MX. She knows the doctors, she knows the hospitals first hand. She is not just a coordinator answering phones, she knows the hospital staff, the doctors, restaurants, she speaks english and spanish. Dr. Ponce is well known and respected by his colleagues. He is the one the doctors go to for gastric surgery. He is also the doctor you want operating on you if you do have complications. I will keep you updated. If I can answer any questions for you, I'll do my best.

My husband is pretty good, although he has said a stupid thing (or 2 or 3...)(I will be married 30 yrs this yr). The first time he talked disrespectful to me, I was shocked and took it. Then I started taking different approaches like I say to him "Let me get this right, that's how you talk to YOUR WIFE, the ONLY one that truly loves you, no matter YOUR shortcomings? Or You are talking to me like I am a piece of S**T?" How would you like it if I spoke to you like that? OR I'm glad your so perfect and then I point out one of his shortcomings, Or "I may be fat, but I can change. I guess you are just nasty. Maybe you should work on that". Or I have also snapped back "WTF you Jacka**". I find though if you curse too much it loses its effectiveness. I have also said, "How would you like it if someone talked to YOUR daughter like that? Your daughter hears you, and she is going to think this bulls**t is ok. How would you like to get a call from her, at 2 am, crying that her husband treated her this way? (This I found particularly effective). Vary your response, because I think you need to catch him off guard to be effective. Just make sure you respond EVERYTIME he asks like a fool. Anyone who has been married long enough has put up with some stupidity- you are NOT alone! Good luck.

It is absolutely unacceptable for a man to speak to his wife in such a way. About ANYthing. You are his queen and you should be treated as such. He is to live with you in an understanding way. I would cry for a week if my husband even HINTED at the fact that I have an adverse effect on gravity! (of course we're not stupid, we know I'm huge, he's just respectful about my feelings.) Your husband shouldn't be dishing out anything but kindness and love to you! I'll say it....He needs Jesus! I do pray things get better for you and he has a change of heart.
Other than that...I'm with Shoelover!!!

I really would like to be able to give you a nice, peaceful resolution, but I'm just not that person. I probably would have slapped the absolute mess outta him and then I would have given him the worst cussing of his life. But what will probably be the sweetest revenge is when you get slim, and have other men salivating over you.

The fact is you will probably never know exactly what happened between Dr. Kelly and the coordinators. I used obesitysolutionsinternational.com for Dr. Garcia and was totally happy with the experience. Dr. Garcia is a wonderful doctor and his staff is truly some of the best people I have ever seen. I am totally happy with my experience and would not change anything. With that said Dr. Kelly is also from what I have heard a great doctor as well. You will not make a bad choice with Dr. Garcia or Dr. Kelly. Do not let someone that will not be involved in your actual surgery deter you from making a decision on a surgeon. Either one would be able to change your life for the better. I have personal experience with Dr. Garcia recently on May 7th and he was very imformative and compassionate. He did a great job. I am happy with my decision and cannot imagine going to anyone else. I hope this helps and I am sorry you experience with an unprofessional coordinator has made you doubt Dr. Garcia and his capability.
