Cholestrol Went Up Since Being Sleeved

Just had my cholestrol checked at a Health Clinic at work - it went up 60 points - the nurse thinks I am not eating enough Fiber or drinking enough Water (drink more than I ever did)

Has anyone else had this issue?

Mine went down at the 3 month mark but back up some at the 6 months mark. they said it was still good and my ratio was fine so dont worry about it. I think its the mostly animal protein I eat, limited fiber and veggies.

Yes, my ratio got worse even though my overall points went down. But doctor's care more about the ratio than the points. It's definitely the rise in animal product for protein and then not enough fiber and veggies. My docs said it's not worrisome at this point, but that once I'm closer to my maintenance weight they'd like to see my cut back on the animal product and increase good vegetables. She brought up shellfish which are a higher source of cholesterol than chicken or turkey, trying to keep that to only 1-2 times per week maximum. The best way to raise the good (HDL) is exercise, getting your heart rate up and sustaining it for 45 minutes or more every day if you can.

Yes mine did too! Dr. said "we would discuss it later" He was more worried at that point about my potassium which was so low that he wanted to hospitalize me to get it into me before I had a heart attack! Weird. That was about a year ago. Going to have blood work etc done this month so anxious to see how I fair now.

Just the opposite, went from mid 200's down to 133.
