11 Days Post-Op And Scale Says I Gained 3 Pounds!?!?!?!

I am a little upset and a little miffed. I had not weighed myself in four days, so this morning I got on the dang scale and it indicated that I gained 3 pounds! I don't understand, and I know I shouldn't be focusing on the weight right now, but I can't help but be upset. I am still on full liquids and have been living on ice pops, brothy soups and Unjury Protein shakes. Does anyone know what's going on?? I think I am doing the right things...

Swelling, gas and your body is now holding onto Water. I suggest walking a little more and weighing yourself tomorrow. I can gain 3 or 4 pounds in a day and lose 5 the next day even pre-surgery. Keep sipping and I understand your frustration, I am expecting this to happen to me too, but it will be gone in no time and then the pounds will drop. It happens to almost everyone. It seems to me that this is the norm. Losing immediately after surgery is rare. Just keep doing what your doctor says and it will come off.

I hope someone reminds me of this when I freak out after surgery after I gain. I know it's going to happen because I've read so much on it, it still will have me upset too.

Weight is not fat. It's fluid.
