Left Shoulder Pain After You Eat?
Just want to know if anyone else is going through this pain? I am 2 month post-op. How do you prevent it? Will it ever go away?

Very Low Energy & Weak
Shortypants--hoping that you (we) find a solution before you drop someone! I scheduled an appointment with my doctor and NUT to see them 2 weeks from now. If I find a solution or come up with interesting info, I will share! Good luck.

Very Low Energy & Weak
No post-op labs done yet, but I'm eating more than most on this Board at 6 weeks and take bariatric vitamins; I never even considered the notion of being Vitamin deficient

Very Low Energy & Weak
I am 6 weeks post-op. I eat all my protein; take all my meds; consume 1000 calories a day; and drink my liquids...but I am always very tired. I feel very weak and don't even have energy to clean my house or workout. I have never left so weak and tired before. Has anyone else experienced this? How did you get over it??

How Many Calories Should I Be Eating2 Months Out?
I am almost 6 weeks out and easily eating 1000 calories. Somedays I eat less (around 800-900) and other days more (1000-1200), but I feel fine and am just trying to listen to my body.

One Month Anniversary
Weighed myself today--my one month sleeve anniversary. Here are the results: Pre-op diet weight: 272 Day of surgery: 263 One month post-op: 246 Total loss to date: 26 pounds (or 17 pounds post-op) I am happy with these numbers as its a step in the right direction, but I also feel like I need to step it up in order to see more dramatic results. I am promising myself, in public, that I'm going to start exercising this weekend and make an effort to like exercising as I try to incorporate it into my life (bc I really hate it now). I feel the weight is coming off at a slow pace, but I am committed to getting healthy and look damn good! Any other May 14 sleeve buddies want to share your results/thoughts/feelings?

What Are Your Best Tips For Eating Slowly?
I put my fork down after every bit and chew before swallowing. Also, when I'm at work a d eating alone, I take my iPhone with me and play a game...so I take a bite, put fork down, pick up iPhone and play a minute or two of my game before taking another bite. Takes my mind off chewing per se and spaces out my bites perfectly. Good luck.

Where Is My Period Ladies?
I had surgery on 5/14 and am feeling great...except that my period is a week late. Does anyone know if this is related? Thanks!

Sensa
I tried Sensa and wasted my money. I think I actually gained weight the month I used Sensa. I'm not even sure why they are allowed to market and sell that crap. Count your calories, set mini goals for yourself and allow your new tool (sleeve) help you along the way.

No Coffee!
I too tolerate coffee just fine. I spoke to my doctor last week who said the notion of coffee causing an ulcer in your new stomach is "BS", but did say its a diuretic and will need to watch water intake if drinking coffee. Drink on if you can tolerate it!

Able To Eat More Over Night?!
I am almost 3 weeks post-op and since the surgery, have not been able to eat more than 1/2 a cup during a given period of time. Today, however, I ate a cup of soft food for breakfast and a cup of food for lunch...effortlessly! Am I losing my mind....or is this normal??

2 Very Different Vsg Philosophies -- What's Yours?
I couldn't wait to get off just liquids because I am sure I was taking in more calories that way versus now, where I am able to eat things with substance. It takes longer to eat; it takes less to make me feel full; and I am satiated longer. Shakes/liquids just slide on through.

First Check Up Since Surgery In A Couple Hours...
Just got weighed at the doctor's office. I gained 1 pound after an initial loss. I knew it!

First Check Up Since Surgery In A Couple Hours...
And I am nervous! I'm probably being completely irrational, but I am afraid to get weighed because I don't want to hear news that is disappointing. I ask my husband if he thinks I'm losing at least 5 times a day (I know, poor husband); but I don't feel like I'm losing. Is anyone else afraid of the scale and have doubts about their ability to lose weight? I had the lapband and it failed, so I just don't want to face another failure.

Overeating?
I am about 3 weeks out and eating ground beef too. Maybe it's not what you ate, but how fast you ate it?

Sleeved On 5/17...what Else Can I Eat Sooo Sick Of The Protein Shakes!
I was sleeved on May 14th and I am eating refried beans; eggs; yogart; canned chicken/tuna puréed; watermelon; cottage cheese; and chili. I chew very well and it's working out just fine. More importantly, now that I have started mushy foods, I think I am taking in less calories than when I was on full-liquids.

2 Weeks Post-Op: I Really Want Coffee
I know we are not really supposed to have caffeine, but my water intake is just fine, so I'm wondering if there is any other reason for the caffeine ban? I really want a cup of coffee and don't see any harm...

Stage 3 Diet - How To Tell When You're Full?
I started stage 3 diet today and did well with my first meal (scrambled eggs) but didn't really feel full. I stopped because I only made 1/3 cup of egg beaters, but I could have probably ate more. How do you know when you're full??
