I was sleeved on May 14 - per the dr I can start solids today. I'm a little nervous about that' date=' so going to still stick to the softer side. Congrats to all the May sleevers on weight loss so far! I am just ending/still a little bit in a stall - It's lasted since week 2. I lost 18 pounds in the first 10 days, then nada, zip, nuttin. I'm down 2 more the past few days, for a total of 20 so far. I am glad to be 20 down, but certainly have a long way to go (299 pre-sleeve diet start, 275 surgery date, 255 today). Monday will be 4 weeks for me and I've been really strict about what I eat and when - should I be concerned at only losing 20 lbs so far? What i've read is that we can expect 10 lbs a month, but I see lots with great success these first few weeks. Just being slightly paranoid over here![/quote']

From what I've read, 20-25 lbs in the first month is SUPER typical. You're or course always going to remember seeing the big numbers more since they're exciting, but suspect they're more outliers :) okay to be less or more, but think you're normal and doing great!

Hi guys!

I went under the knife on May 7th at a surgery weight of 242. My one month anniversary was yesterday and I weighed in at 219 for a 23 pound loss. I guess I'm "normal."

For all of you waiting for their first scrambled egg, I felt the same way and let me tell you it didn't disappoint. Every day since then has been better than the last.

I have made both the taco and lasagna cupcakes. I liked the lasagna ones a little more (i may be biased living in tucson) but they were both awesome!

Congrats to all the May Sleevers!

I was sleeved on May 21st. My doctor did not require a pre-op diet so I am just starting from that point but I am down 27 pounds. However, I am not certain it is going that well. I am nauseous a lot of the time and have had almost constant bouts of diarrhea. Eating has become a drama - I am definitely not getting enough Protein but the more I drink the sicker I feel.

Anyone else have anything like this?

Yes, I was like this. Are you still on Clear liquids? My doc gave me zofran for nauseous. He said it can last for a month. I'm a little better since I started on pureed and full liquids.< /p>

Hang in there.

Hello fellow May sleevers' date='

I was sleeved on May 24. I also had my gallbladder removed and a hiatal hernia repaired. I lost 23 lb pre-op. But I've gotten on the scale a few times, and I'm at a stall. My doctor says its because of my swollen abdomen. I feel healthier however. People say that I look smaller. I'm just anticipating on watching the scale go down. I'm still on my liquid diet. Just want the swelling to subside.[/quote']

Two weeks out and the swelling has gone down tremendously. Feeling great!

I was also sleeved on May 1st. I have lost 30 pounds and I feel great. I lost 20 pounds on the pre-op diet. Last week I only lost .2 pounds and started freaking out. I realized that once again I was allowing my weight to control me and I had to snap out of it. I am still trying to figure out when I am hungry. I just can't tell. I also have a problem with the feeling full. I am afraid of overeating so I don't eat much at a time.

I'm so glad you posted this - this is a great resource and I'm definitely trying the lasagna cupcakes! During my puree stage, I made a combo of egg substitute, soy chorizo (has less fat, but is still spicy and yummy), and pureed green and orange peppers in a muffin pan and had Breakfast for dinner.< /p>

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
