Vacationing With Family Who Doesn't Know

Hi, new here. This is my first post or reply. Just got my surgery date of July 2. For now I only want my husband and mom to know about being sleeved. However we will be going on vacation with my husband's family in August. I believe it will be my seventh week out. How can we eat out without me looking like I have an eating disorder? I thought about telling them that I just had my gallbladder removed. My husband wants me to wait to have the surgery until after vacation. That would put me right into the beginning of the new school year for my 4 & 6 year old kids. I of course want to do the surgery as soon as possible and feel like it will never be the "right" time. Help!

I hate that you are worried what others might think. You do not have to share anything, with anybody. Say you had enough to eat, that should suffice. You are a grown woman capable of making decisions for yourself, and, you need no one to approve of what you choose to do to your body.
