  1. Hi all. Anyone have any experience with nausea after surgery? I can't get my Water, Protein or Vitamins down. I'm already loosing a ton of hair and know not getting the things I need in is not good. I've been drinking tea and chicken broth. Any help is greatly appreciated!
  2. I was told the first 30 days is the most crucial.
  3. So I just tried my very first protein drink. Syntrax Nectar Lattes, Cappuccino. I usually have an iced coffee every morning and was hoping it would be a decent substitue. The website I bought the sample from gave it five stars by at least sixty people. I barely kept it down. I know it was only one flavor but it was the chalky taste that got to me. My surgery is scheduled for 7/2 and I am thinking how am I going to do this for the rest of my life. Am I just being dramatic?
  4. I need advice on what a pre-op diet consists of. My surgery date is July 2 but my three hour pre-op class isn't until June 22. I would call my contact at my doctor's office but I have a feeling she doesn't know what she is talking about. When I asked what the average hospital stay is she told me 90% of people go home the same day. HELP!!!
  5. Littlet-good point. We will be driving for about 13 hours which to me sounds comparable to your 5-6 hours on a plane......now I'm really confused as to what to do now! I just really want out of this body but not at the cost of my life. I will call the doctor tomorrow.
  6. Thanks Liberated Sleeve. I'm glad I posted this. I never felt so supported since this idea entered my mind. You guys are awesome. I'm so happy I found this website.
  7. Kat-small world huh? I like your idea since I'm not comfortable lying either.
  8. Thanks sabstar22 & ChristineS NY. Christine you and I should stay in touch with our situations since we have similarities. I only have one issue with the gallbladder story....what if I end up having it removed later in life. You only get one! lol
  9. Hi, new here. This is my first post or reply. Just got my surgery date of July 2. For now I only want my husband and mom to know about being sleeved. However we will be going on vacation with my husband's family in August. I believe it will be my seventh week out. How can we eat out without me looking like I have an eating disorder? I thought about telling them that I just had my gallbladder removed. My husband wants me to wait to have the surgery until after vacation. That would put me right into the beginning of the new school year for my 4 & 6 year old kids. I of course want to do the surgery as soon as possible and feel like it will never be the "right" time. Help!
