Attention ! Australian Sleevers

Recommended Posts

I had a nice Christmas lunch with family and found it really easy to eat "within my means". I didn't drink, playing the "I'm sick" card. Our neighbors are coming over for a drink in a bit and I will have one then and some eggnog tonight. But I will stay close to my calorie goal and i haven't felt deprived and haven't stuffed myself either.

Santa brought me a Fitbit Flex and a Fitbit Aria wireless scale! I had the Fitbit One that clips on but this one is a Bracelet. I love it! And the scale syncs with MyFitnessPal automatically and checks my body fat % too. I also got a Fossil bag and a new board game, and Secret Santa gave me a mushroom growing kit!

Anybody got any recipe ideas for a soft food diet, that doesnt include fish (allergic)? Cheers

Heaps of soft food recipes on the Food and Recipe section. :)

I didn't mean to be short. I was at a family dinner. :) for soft food I ate a lot of:

eggs

cheese

Yogurt

Cottage cheese

Cereal with milk (like Special K or uncle Toby's flakes)

Porridge with Protein powder stirred in after it cools a bit

Canned Soup with extra chicken added

Beef mince with gravy or bolognaise

Canned chicken mixed with mayo, onion, and gherkin relish (I call this chicken salad)

Refried Beans with cheese

Hummus

Canned peas

Baked Beans

Custard with Protein powder stirred in

I actually ate a lot of fish but I've left that out for you. Sashimi, smoked salmon and canned tuna were staples.

Thank you for the suggestions, didnt think that you were being short at all. I havent really looked at anything else on the site, just went straight for the aussie section. I will explore some more.

Hope you had a nice dinner

Hope everyone had a safe and happy christmas, I managed to shed another kg despite having a few treats so am feeling very pleased.

Woohoo congratulations!

We are doing well. I'm looking forward to getting back in my normal routine but enjoying the break too, especially silly the break from work!

I rode my bike to and from mass today (about 20 minutes each way). Not too bad but I'll stay inside out of the heat the rest of the day! Looking forward to running tomorrow but I will need to do it early.

Anybody have plans for NYE? We are going to a dinner concert at the Brisbane Jazz Club which is right on the river, so as a bonus we get to see the fireworks at midnight! I am so excited about the dress I bought and will have my husband take a photo when I am all dressed up.

Hi all - Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. 2014 looks to be amazing.

I was following this forum for a while and then had some major set backs - I was unsuccessful in accessing my super twice. I have private health insurance, but needed the extra money to fund my operation. Thank heavens for wonderful family who came to the rescue and on 17 September 2013 I had my gastric sleeve operation in Brisbane. I've lost 26kgs, my health has improved and the arthritis pain in one of my knees is so much less as my weight continues to go down.

Is there anyone around the Springfield Lakes area or close by in Queensland who has had the gastric sleeve and would like to catch up? Please let me know - we have some lovely cafes in the area.

Cheers,

Gorgeous Curves

Welcome! A sleever called Shell used to post here and I think she lives out that way. Maybe she will pop in and say hello. :)

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
