11 Days Post-Op And I Am So Sick Of The Liquids!

Just had to vent. I am craving real food so badly! The first few days after the surgery were a breeze and I was actually enjoying Jello, broth, then yogurt, pudding, etc, but now I am really sick of it!

I know I have to see it through and I will, but the lack of variety is very frustrating. I want to eat something with texture!!

Yeah, I'm feeling your pain! My problem, though, is that I can't tolerate most yogurt, pudding, or broth right now because it makes me sick. Luckily I realized some of it was a lactose issue. Have you tried brushing your teeth? It wont help with the texture, but it'll help the hunger pains. Also try the crystal light sugar free hard candies. I crunch down on them so at least I feel like I'm chewing something...

Yup. Crystal light hard candys are the best. Also sf life savers.

Good idea cuz I'm 1 week postop and I feel the same. I'm going to try the SF candiies. Thanks so much!

I know how you feel as I was on liquids for a month. SF popcicles and fudgcicles really got me through it all.

You're almost there!! It feels like such a long time when you're in it! Have you tried spit pea Soup? I was not a fan before surgery but it tasted pretty good post-op! It's decent Protein too.

Careful moving onto more solids because it can be pretty easy to over-do it! I sure have made that mistake more than once!

I'm with Hadouni! Split Pea Soup is yummy!!

Split Pea Andersons brand is super good, and it does have a nice protein ratio. I'm having cream of wheat too. I'm 6 days post op, I can go to mushies tomorrow, yayyyy!
