3 Days Post Op And Tired Of Clears!

Recommended Posts

I was told liquids are sliders and so even though u can't drink a ton, u never really feel full. Should start to feel restriction on mushies and soft foods. But definitely don't drink too much. U are doing just right.

I was on Clear Liquids for a week, and I unfortunately couldn't stand the Isopure drinks even with ice and dilution. So I didn't have Protein for a week besides the minimal amounts in broths

I stuck with:

chicken broth (wonton Soup, campbell's and strain it, I also went to a flea market and had mexican soup that had cilantro in it)

Vegetable broth

French onion soup (just broth)

sugar free popsicles

sugar free Jello

Powerade zero

Water

crystal light

propel Water

OH! Castiel said propel waters... also Fruit20 waters. I love the peach fruit20 Water - it tastes like you bit into a peach. YUM! (and a good "trick" if you don't like water)

I too am on the cl liquids and Protein Shakes for a week after surgery.. and I was on full liquids the week before.. Its not a huge variety of things.. but Im going to do what the dr says... I advance when he says.. its a life long commitment. If you had the surgery you knew before hand what the process was.. its so important to stick to the diet. lots of flavored liquids out there.. different broths too.. chicken, beef, veggie, plus I get in my Vitamins and my Protein like he said to.. I plan on being a success and Im not going back to the way I was eating.. this is a new journey for all of us here. stick to the program and you will be a success too.. be strong :)

It sucks, but follow the diet FAITHFULLY. Its worth it. I'm 5 1/2 months out and 115 lbs down. Looking back, I would do it all again without a single complaint to be where I am today. I hated the diet, but eating what I wanted is what got me in this situation to start with. Keep with it. It's worth it.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
