In The Mood For Pizza?

Recommended Posts

These pizza hut commercials are taunting me. So I decided to do my own version of pizza that has Protein from meat and cheese but the ooey gooey cheese we all love!

4 slice turkey

1 slice turkey bacon

1/4 cupShredded cheese of choice

2 tbspns Marinara/ pizza sauce

Lay out turkey slices overlapping. Spread sauce add cheese and chopped turkey bacon. Pop in toaster oven for 7-10 min Maybe 2-3 meals not sure yet. But so delish!

Hope u enjoy

Here's another you might enjoy. It has been a favorite of ours for many years.

4 oz of cream cheese

4 eggs

1/3 C heavy whipping cream

1/4 cup of freshly grated parmesan cheese

1 tsp italian seasoning

2 C mixed italian cheese

1/4 tsp garlic powder

1/2 C low carb pizza sauce (at the time Mama Mia's was the lowest I could find in stores)

Preheat oven to 375F.

Beat together cream cheese and eggs until smooth. Add cream, parmesan and spices, mix again.

Spray 9" or larger baking dish with butter Pam (or spray of your choice).

Sprinkle 2 C cheese into dish, pour egg mixture over cheese.

Bake 375 for 30 minutes.

Remove form oven let stand for 5 minutes.

Spread on sauce and 1 cup mozzeralla cheese top with any of chosen toppings (pepperoni & sausage do very well with this recipe).

Return to oven bake til bubbly and brown.

Let stand for 10-15 minutses before cutting.

Friends who have had it all say they prefer it to regular pizza.

:)

I use the low carb tortilla (garlic flavor) then spread pizza sause on top......top with my favorite toppings, and then cook it on the stove top for about 5 minutes on medium low heat......the crust is crisppy just like a thin crust...very yummy!

It was great guys! The best thing is that it was perfect for my pizza craving and it only took 15 min total to prep and cook. It made 2 meals for me, you can slice it out and eat it like a reg piece of pizza its not as messy as it looks lol.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
