I'm the type of person that only goes to the doctor if I'm extremely sick which I know is stupid but I'm just being honest.

To be approved for the sleeve by my insurance I have to get all these test done and wait 6 months and so far I'm almost done with everything and I'm starting to get the results back and I'm learning that I'm a lot worse off than I thought I was. I found out I have high blood pressure and rheumatoid arthritis and acid reflux and I'm two inches shorter then i always thought I was. 5'3 not 5'5! Haha I'm afraid of what else I'm going to find out. And I'm only in month 2 of 6

I know the feeling! I just finished my 6 months and having surgery on 4/10. I found out I had all the stuff the doctor said I would when I was 21 and didn't listen now it's catching up to me at age 25. I don't look at it as a bad thing. Look at it as a good thing, you know what you have and learn how to fix it whether it be with medication or losing weight. This can also help with co-morbids too if your insurance requires you have at least one to have approval. The next 4 months will go by fast and before you know it you'll be on your way to approval and surgery. Good luck on your journey.

How exciting! Good luck on your surgery where are you getting it done? I'm in New York. I was tempted to take my tax return fly to mexico but I'm going to finish paying off my car.

Thank you, I live in San Antonio, TX having it done at foundations surgical center with Dr. Gonzalez. Soooo excited. It took me 3 years to finally get to this point and commit. I thought about going to Mexico too but I had to pay bills with my return . Glad I waited though.
