  1. Peppermint is the best!
  2. I'm scared I'm going to gain like 15 lbs before surgery! I ate a box of frozen devil dogs in one week.just got my surgey date a few hours ago. I'm going in 9/17 in Brooklyn NY
  3. So it took 6 days to feel better? I'm going to try and go back to work as soon as I get out of the hospital. I broke my ankle in December and was out for 4 months. Can't afford to stay out again.
  4. I'm 28. I signed my consent yesterday! I had to do a 6 month supervised diet I only lost 5lbs and i ride my bike to work everyday 14 miles ! Hopefully my insurance approval will happen Before I eat myself to death.
  5. Make sure you have them measure your height. I always thought I was 5'5-5'6 and I'm really 5'3 which helps because it made my BMI go up.
  6. Living with in-laws I can see as a big strain on a marriage. Especially a new marriage. I dont know your situation but if its to save money id say move out. I think your sanity out weighs saving money. Good luck!
  7. I'm 28 years old and I've been having the same problem with numbness.i went to the doctor and turns out I have a rheumatoid arthritis. I'm currently on a high dosage of vitamin D until I get an appointment with the rheumatologist.
  8. How exciting! Good luck on your surgery where are you getting it done? I'm in New York. I was tempted to take my tax return fly to mexico but I'm going to finish paying off my car.
  9. I'm the type of person that only goes to the doctor if I'm extremely sick which I know is stupid but I'm just being honest. To be approved for the sleeve by my insurance I have to get all these test done and wait 6 months and so far I'm almost done with everything and I'm starting to get the results back and I'm learning that I'm a lot worse off than I thought I was. I found out I have high blood pressure and rheumatoid arthritis and acid reflux and I'm two inches shorter then i always thought I was. 5'3 not 5'5! Haha I'm afraid of what else I'm going to find out. And I'm only in month 2 of 6 Sent from my iPhone
  10. Congratulations you look great! How long did it take you?
  11. I did mine yesterday. I was there a total of 2 hours. The actual test they said was 5 mins. So unless there are running behind I'd say have your husband wait there.
  12. What they are looking for is that you don't have unreal expectations. Apparently there's a high suicide rate for people that have gone through weight-loss surgery. I haven't gone for my evaluation yet. I'm kinda nervous because at the support group meeting I was crying about never eating Bread or drinking a beer again. I was laughing as I was crying because I knew how crazy I looked. Best of luck to you!
  13. Me too and I'm only in month 2 of my 6 month approve process. I did all my blood work and most of all the requirements already. I also found out that I wasnt 5'5 as I always thought. 46 inches which is 5'3 but the nurse wrote that I was 5'2 which puts my BMI at a higher rate.
