I am ten days post op and doing great, I have experienced some head hunger but nothing that I can't control. However I am sick of cream Soups and Protein Drinks already. Will be two weeks post op on Tuesday . What are you guys consuming at two weeks? Seriously need a change. Suggestions anyone? ????

My NUT said I could go on "pureed/super mushy" foods. I've had instant mashed potatoes with gravy (the kind in a packet that you add Water to), refried Beans, applesauce, oatmeal, grits, cream of wheat, tuna salad (tuna with LF Mayo), scrambled eggs, chicken salad (canned chicken with LF Mayo), poached eggs, any kind of Soup (as long as I puree it), any vegetable (except corn) cooked soft and blended.

I've done well with this, but just take it slow and take baby bits and wait a few minutes between bites.

All of that sounds DELICIOUS and my nut gave me the same diet but at day 22.. I wonder why they all differ so much.. Do you purée ur veggies in a blender or do you use a food processor?

My coworker made a wonderful Breakfast for the squad this morning.. French toast beef sausage and scrambled eggs.. Without asking if I'd like any she sat en enormous plate of food in front me. I just stared at it while everyone else ate. When she came over I foolishly ate a few bites of the eggs so she wouldn't feel bad. The eggs are stuck in my throat and I feel foolish and miserable. Let's not forget I'm only 11 days post op... Ugh.. Maybe I should just come out the closet about my sleeve.

I use a blender on some things, and for the veggies I just cook them super soft, and then use a fork to sort of mash them up. I also love eggs. I eat them scrambled or fried. Again, I use a fork to mush them up.

Well today I was so excited and fulfilled when I ate! I had beef Soup not stew. It was absolutely delicious.

Boil beef short ribs with salt and chunks of onion two cloves of garlic let boil for about 45-60 min

Add in potatoe, carrots, zucchini, and tomatoes, ( cabbage if you like)

Make sure it has enough flavor or add in more salt or garlic salt and cilantro

Let it boil and serve.

Obviously I only had a bit or two of meat, a zucchini piece and a few carrots. I mushed them up. I saved the broth and had some shortly after. This is a family meal for those cozy days.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
