I am looking for anyone who had a VSG with Rodolpho Arreola at Hamot Bariatrics in Erie PA? I contacted this surgeon and he says he does VSG but I am having a hard time finding any VSG patients, I would like to hear about your experience with him. I had been looking into Mexico and had thought I made up my mind but I am just checking my options close to home. Family is giving me a hard time about going to Mexico. I know I am going to pay more here in the states but my husband feels more secure with this decision. Thanks .

Just make sure that you research the surgeon you pick. If he doesn't have 50-75 of these procedures under his belt, I would move on. Plenty of people on this site have used surgeons in Mexico and have done great. My surgeon is in Oregon, and when I met with him, I flat out asked him how many of these has he done, and how many had problems. I was able to track down several people who had used him. Check out weight loss surgery support groups in your area, go there and ask questions about this surgeon, at least that's a place to start. Good luck.
