Hey Dee :) I'm not in Long Island, but I'm close. I'm in Brooklyn, so only a train ride away! I'm sorry to hear that you are in a stall HOWEVER, you are what, 3 weeks out??? Guess what? That is the dreaded 3 week stall that pretty much EVERYONE goes through! It is just your body going on pause to sort through everything that is going on. You are doing great so far!

As for the rash, I am definitely not a doctor, but is it around your incisions and the tape? I had a reaction to the tape. That wouldn't explain your back though. Just call your surgeon's office and ask. I had to do that for a few things and they are always very nice and understanding about everything.

If you want to meet up one day, just pm me and maybe I can help some more in person :)

((hugs)) You are doing great, keep up the amazing work and don't worry about the stall!

I didn't drop sizes until I hit close to 40 lbs, and then when again when I hit the 60ish mark (I waited a really long time though and I ended up skipping a size, that was awesome lol). The way I lose is I drop numbers, then I drop sizes while the numbers stall... then I start dropping again. At this point my weight loss has slowed down dramatically, which kinda sucks but I'm staying positive and just going on with my days.

As for the craving everything in sight, I believe that is head hunger. It is hard because you can't really eat anything but your head hasn't caught up with that yet. It does get easier I promise!

I was sleeved 9/19/2011 :) Six months ago!

At three weeks I still got twinges after sitting or standing for too long, or if I reached above my head (I had to do that for work, to get things off shelves). I found it helped to switch it up. So I would sit/stand/walk etc. Just break it up. You mentioned before that you can't eat much. At three weeks I was just coming off of full liquids, so I was still doing mushy foods at that point!

Now as for the "feel like i've been kicked" not sure about that. Again though, call your surgeon's office! I was very reluctant to but at one point I had too, it really is no big deal. You probably won't even talk to your surgeon, just the nurse. I would ask about your rash and the pain. Feel better!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
