Anyone Break Out Using Whey Protein Powders?

I've been lactose intolerant for 20+ years, so when I started my pre-surgery diet I followed recommendations to use whey Protein isolate powder as a protein source (I mix it with Crystal Light or almond milk). Three weeks into my 1-2 shake daily routine, and I've started breaking out along my jawline, chest and shoulders with hard red bumps. Breakouts like this (along with stomach upset) have happened in the past when I ate/drank too much dairy but I was told that whey protein wouldn't bother me. I will break out the same way if I eat too much cottage cheese, but strangely I can eat yogurt and cheese with no problems at all.

I'm not happy, not just because of the bumps but because I stocked up on protein powders in preparation for surgery. That's a lot of $$ down the drain.

Headed to GNC to try out egg Protein Powder, but I was just wondering if anyone else has experienced anything similar?

I broke out when I used the Nectar protein Fuzzy Navel. I switched to the strawberry kiwi and didn't have anymore problems after that.
