Got Insurance Approval - Bcbs-Il Took Less Than 24 Hours!

My surgeon's office submitted my file on Thursday and they approved it on Friday! I found out this AM and am so excited. I have an endoscopy on Thursday. Once that's done they'll schedule the surgery.

Things just became real!

I hope they do the same for me. I am worried though because they told me that I have a preexisting condition on my file. Which means basically that I need to prove that I haven't been treated by anyone else prior to having insurance coverage with BCBSIL. I haven't had insurance since high school, so hopefully things will go smooth. Congrats on your approval!!

Congrats!!! So glad for you both!!!! One step closer to living the sleeved life!!!

Congrats!! Hope your surgery is scheduled for soon! Yeah once that approval comes in - it's FOR REALS!!

Thanks, everyone.

@Ready2BeSleeved, I wouldn't know of any pre-existing conditions that would exclude you. Unless some kind of hernia type like they're looking for in the endoscopy. That sounds kinda weird. Plus, how would your insurance company know that if you've never seen a doctor about it? Weird. Hopefully it's nothing & you can continue the process. Keep me posted!
