My Surgery Is Tomorrow And I'm Worried That I Haven't Lost Enough In The 2 Wk Liquid Diet

Hi, How much weight should I have lost during the past two weeks? I've lost 8 lbs since two weeks ago, and I know that I have followed the liquid diet. A couple of friends have told me that they lost about 20 lbs during their two week pre-op diet. But, neither of them had lost any weight since their first appointment and I had lost about 16 lbs since first meeting with the dietician and now my total weight loss is 24 lbs. Is the previous weight loss why I haven't lost very much during the past two weeks?? Will 8 lbs be enough?

To be honest, I'm so worried that I won't lose weight after the surgery, especially since I haven't been able to lose much the past two weeks!

Everybody's body is different. I lost 13 lbs during my Pre-Op diet but others lost 20+. It all depends on your starting weight, etc....losing 24 total before your surgery is a big accomplishment. You will be fine!! Good luck tomorrow and welcome to the "Losers Bench"!
