CathyT59 got a reaction from ToyBoy in Good News @ 2 Week Follow UpWow! You're doing great! I'm 2 weeks post op today also! I'm going to see my nut tomorrow and start on mushies! I'm really anxious to see my weight on their scales! I hope it matches the scale at home! Keep up the good work!

CathyT59 reacted to linkybo in 3 Week Post Op22 is awesome! Just think, without the surgery, it might have been plus 2 instead of down 22.
I know it's going to be difficult not to be a slave to the scale, but a pound a day sounds pretty sweet to me. Maybe they should take our scales along with our extra tummy space and not give the scale back for 6 months?

Cute One, with your stomach and drawer, i can totally relate.
is it "legal"if it i jump in with my NSV too?
When I came home from the hospital 12-15-11 - i called my mom, after WLS i came home losing about 2 lbs. - my mom said to me - ok, - now look, are your underwear too big on you? i just thought that was funny.
Guess what they are most definitely big on me now.

I've had to really think about how to answer this question. My first thought was that it was no drinking within 30 minutes of meals, but that's natural to me now. I just don't drink until I am past that 30 minutes...I don't even think about it usually, although I used to set a timer. Then I thought that maybe it was not using straws, but I realized I'm drinking from a straw right now because I bought an iced tea at Sam's earlier. Menu changes? No, they're habits now.
So, at 7 months out, the hardest thing has actually been... nothing. I can eat what I like, just less of it. I exercise more, but that almost seems like a natural progression of having more energy. I wear smaller sizes, so I'm shopping more. What woman doesn't like that?!
I'm STILL in love with my sleeve and I still think it's the best thing I've ever done for myself. I'm also looking forward to June 3 of this year. It's not my surgery date, but I was told on June 3, 2011 that I wouldnt live another year if I didn't lose some weight. I'm planning to have a drink to Celebrate living another year with the help of my sleeve, Rex!

CathyT59 got a reaction from Lauranbob Mc in What's The Most Difficult Part Of Living With Your New Sleeve?Hi, I am 9 days post op and I'm feeling really good. I've been able to get most of my water in and my protein also. I just have to remind myself to make sure I have some at lunchtime. I don't seem to feel very hungry!! ( I hope that lasts!) But, I would have to say that the most difficult thing is that I have a family and they have to eat!! My husband, who is wonderful, is a terrible cook! His cooking skills are limited to frozen chicken nuggets and fries! So, I have been cooking their meals too. I honestly have been alright doing this through the pre-op diet and the past week. But last night, I made them steak with roasted potatoes and a garden salad. I really, really wanted to indulge!! I'll be so happy when I advance to the soft food stage...cottage cheese and scrambled eggs sound delightful! I know that I'm experiencing head hunger, but that doesn't make it any easier!!
