Way to go Cathy. So glad you are out of surgery and ok. I on the other hand managed to get sick yesterday. Went and got a Z-pack so now I hope I won't have any delays because of this. Sinus infection I think and hope that is all it is.

Thanks, Jimmy. I am feeling pretty good. Some crampy gas pains, but overall, I feel ok. Thirsty as heck cause they won't give me anything until day 2, but better than I expected. Looking forward to hearing all of your stories as well!

Today has been a little worse in terms of pain. I had that excruciating gas pain that I have been reading about. Hopefully the walking will help to get rid of it. I am finally sipping on baby cups of Water. they said I could go home today if I can get enough liquid down and if I want to. We'll see. I made the mistake of hurrying home when I had a c-section. Don't want to rush it but missing my kids!

Thanks for taking the time to update:) Was wondering how you were. It's amazing how a group of people can come together and be genuinly caring about people they will probably never meet!

Take your time, make sure you are ready to go home, physically & mentally. It's exciting to think of how things are going to get better & better from here on in. Your health and being overweight affect so much - things can only get better!

hey all, I WAS penciled in for the 16'th but now it's been moved back to the 30'th, just because the surgery scheduler screwed up. and to top it off, now the Dr. is concerned about the surgery because my body makes kidney stones when I do a high protien diet. My PCP isn't worried, he can prescribe a preventative medication to help with that issue. but it's still up to the surgeon.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
