We were having a large garage built and they threw all of the scrap into one big huge pile about 15 feet wide and 10 feet tall. I wanted to save my husband the trouble of burning it so I got a gas can that said diesel on it which our tractor uses and I climbed all over the pile pouring the whole 5 gallons on it. I lit it and it was gasoline I had just poured everywhere. It blew up and rocked the whole subdivision, everyone was running outside to see what had happened. It threw me 33 feet when the ambulance arrived and I was on fire bad. I stopped, dropped and rolled, (see I did pay attention in school) and put it out but all of my skin just dripped off. I couldn't even walk for months. This was 3 years ago and when my weight problem started.

OMG you poor thing. What a horrifying experience you had. Oooh it looks so painful. Thank God you are alive, and that you still have your legs. You are 1 lucky gal to be here to share your story. I'm sorry you had to go through that.

oh dear god! I just posted to your other thread.

Did you have to have skin graphs? where did you get the skin? OhmygodOhmygodOhmygod!!!!!! I had a couple deep tissue burns from a motorcycle accident years ago, but the largest was only about the size of a man's palm. (flipped my bike several times after hitting a patch of white gravel. Ended up face down in a drainage ditch, pinned under my engine.)

ooohhhhhhh - so this is an old injury, 3 years ago?

I just responded to your other thread. Gosh, these pics make my stomach hurt.

glad you are recovered!
