Submitting To Insurance..and So Nervous

Hello all

Im new on here.. and what a way to start..tomorrow seeing my surgeon and submitting all my clearances to the insurance company.. I heard BC/BS Horizon of NJ is a hard one.. My BMI is 47.5.. and only have asthma..no other real co-morbities..

Ugh. the stress of this all..

    Have you looked to see what the medical policy guidelines are? I have Carefirst BCBS of maryland and they have this wierd requirement of 50 and over BMI. They denied me, but I have appealed and hopefully I will be getting my approval soon. Good luck to you! :)
