Food Getting Stuck In My Throat?

So lately it feels as though food (even liquid) has been getting stuck in my throat. Very uncomfortable pain which has me in tears every so often.

Anyone experience this/know how to stop it??

Thanks in advance.

Yes today I had that happen during lunchtime. I felt sooo sick that I had to gag until the food came out. It was horrible with so much pain. Maybe I didn't chew my food up enough before swallowing so a piece got stuck at the top of my stomach. I guess we have to sip and eat very slow with lots of chewing for this not to happen anymore.

Thanks you guys. I'm so not aware of chewing my food....I've got to be more on top of that. And the thought of warm tea does sound soothing.

So what about pills and vitamins. I'm sitting here at work and just took some and they're not the kind that can be crushed up. And I literally am just waiting for it all to come back up. Suggestions for things that cannot be crushed?
