Anyone Done Anything Besides Creams To Lighten/remove Stretch Marks?

Hi all. I originally wanted a tattoo in a spot where there are strechmarks, but after googling that topic the mentioned trying a lasering of the marks, as well as microdermabrasion, and something including a blue light. Anyone try this and have been successful? I have old stretchmarks and I know that makes a difference in some treatments.

I had some lasering done on a scar - my doctor guinea pigged me for it - I didn't mind - but they did some stretch marks too and those are virtually gone. I hadn't had them very long, but I also have extremely pale skin, which lasers don't work the absolute best on. I think it might be worth a try, especially if you can find like a groupon deal for it and get it pretty cheap. Be sure to really talk with the people and do research on the type of laser treatment they offer - being that you are without a doubt going to have darker skin than me (that sparkly vampire in twilight probably has darker skin than me), I would want to make sure they're using the right light therapy :)
