How Much Weight Loss The 1St Month?

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone,

can you share with me how much weight you'll lost the first few weeks after surgery.

I lost 10 lbs the 1st week but my scale has not budged for 1 wk. Eating everything by the book... not sure why I'm stagnating

I lost 30 pounds in the first two 1/2 weeks and I am in the famous 3rd week (going to 4th week) stall right now. Maybe you hit your stall early, but maybe you will jump out quicker. It seems every single person has a different experience. I also got constpated in my 3rd week, maybe that's a factor??? the toughest part for me EVERYDAY is to not compare my ticker with everyone elses. It seems we are used to failure (dieting) and we see these amazing tickers and automatically assume we are doing something wrong. Hang in there... :)

Well went into surgery a male, lite weight at 277 lbs and a week after was 260 and now 4 weeks 258 lbs. I don't have trouble eating anything and try to stay around 800 calories. I've been stuck around 258-260 for two weeks. Being a lite weight I think it's going to come off real slow for me.

I have lost about 25 lbs but have not weighed in a few days. SO 1 month post op that is 25 lbs. I am OK with it - I have not stalled so far either.

I'm 4 weeks, 2 days out and down 31.

I did have a stall in week three but also had my period that week, so who knows?

I lost 37 pounds in my first month. Stalls are normal just switch the type of foods you eat, excercise and you will break the stall. The rule is that if you keep tricking your body you will keep losing the weight.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
