Im so glad this group was started. I am going to be sleeved March 1st and Im so excited I can barely control myself!

Good Luck Today!!!! Leederz

Mrs. Reine,

We share the same surgery date!!!! My story is fairly similair too. Many people tell me I shouldn't get surgery because I'm not so super obese that I can't lose it on my own. But I have done many diets, pills and plans. Ofter I lose some weight but never really get to my target and eventually gain it all back.

I am beginning today to try out Protein Shakes. I will beginning my liquid diet on March 14. Will you required to do a 2 week liquid diet as well?

Cynthia

Well March 2012 Sleevers I will start the ball rolling!! Today is my surgery date! Yay! Haven't had any food but liquids since Sunday afternoon and it was tough, especially walking through the airport yesterday; on Southwest with their free snacks etc; and am I the only one who thinks there are way too many food ads!! Anyway, I get picked up in under 3 hours, so here goes something! Please keep me in your prayers...I'll make the losers' bench a long one. See u all there soon!

Hello All:

I have a surgery date of March 1st. I am not scared, just a little anxious. I'm not going alone, however my companion is also having surgery on the same day. I am just looking forward to the pay off.

Time2Lose and Companion today is your day also! I just realized that you are Leederz were having your surgery done on the same day. I will be praying for you both that everything is successful before, during and after surgery.

Well my fellow March Sleever. Yesterday I went to see my cardio for a checkup and was very surprise as to what she shared. All this time I taught she did not support my decision to proceed with the VSG. On the contrary she totally supported it. As a matter of fact she demanded the insurance company to approve me. In her letter to them she emphasis that I need this surgery to ensure my heart remain in the condition it is and she felt that if I did not proceed with the surgery and continue on the path I was on my later years would be feel with many heart complication. Boy, this puts everything into prospective when it come to my nervousness regarding this surgery. Her first question to me at the appointment was "When is your surgery scheduled?" I told her March 29 and she ask why so late. I then got scared as to why the rush, she simply state that she just feel that insurance company are guilty in pushing thing off for their needs and not the patience. I told her that was not the case that I choice that date because of my work schedule. Well to ensure my surgery is a success, I am going to start my road to a healtier me now, by being smartier in the things I eat and the amount of food I consume.

On my way to a Healthier me!!!

Well I found out my surgery date today and it's March 15th. YEAH!! Very excited and little anxious.

I look forward to sharing this experience with everyone and cannot wait to hear from you as well.

Hope all went well to everyone that had surgery today.

Glad you found us and welcome to the March Sleevers group.

Hey March Sleevers! So I am officially post-op! Had my surgery yesterday about 5pm PST and last night was a trial. I was on pain killers, anti-nausea meds, and antibiotics but as you can imagine the pain was still there. I did better than my hospital roommate who has a much lower pain threshold. The pain though wasnt as much related to the incision sites as gas!! Who knew gas could be so painful? It hurt in the chest area and the middle of my back. I am at the recovery house now. The staff at Jerusalem Hospital was great! They are ultra-clean and I couldn't help but wonder why medical care is so expensive stateside. Anyway I am feeling much better, can now have popsicles, water and juice; though still on a IV as there is only so much I can take in orally right now, but one step at a time. Good luck to those getting sleeved today!
