  1. Mrs.Riene, It depends on the doctor because I only have to do a liquid diet 3 days prior to my surgery. I know someone else that only has to do one day prior.
  2. I also have BCBS of IL and just got approved. My BMI was 40 and have hypertension. I just got approved. I agree with dorrie, check with your pcp.
  3. You and any other March sleever having surgery tomorrow are in my prayers. Good luck and can't wait to hear from you.
  4. That's awesome!! Glad to hear your doing well. Keep up it up!!
  5. Welcome. The 4 months will go by before you know it. I had to do 6 months of supervised dietician because of insurance as well. Time went by pretty fast. Hope all goes well with your mom.
  6. Glad to hear everything went well with your surgery. Good luck on your new beginnings.
  7. Congratulations!!!
  8. Well I found out my surgery date today and it's March 15th. YEAH!! Very excited and little anxious. I look forward to sharing this experience with everyone and cannot wait to hear from you as well. Hope all went well to everyone that had surgery today.
  9. Wow! Keep up the hard work! I agree with JayhawkJess33, your an inspiration to us waiting to be sleeved.
  10. Lots of great information on this forum. This does help me prepare for my surgery. Thank you all. I have only read a few post about losing hair. Does everyone experience this or is this just like everything else, everyones body reacts differently. This is a big concern to me because I have very thin hair. Do you lose a lot of hair?
  11. Hello all you March sleevers! I do not know when I will have my surgery, but hoping it will be in March. I'm waiting for insurance approval. I'm excited and cannot wait for this new journey to begin. I am almost 50 years old and have steadily been gaining an average of 15 lbs a year. I'm now 100 lbs over weight. In the last 2 years I have lost 20 lbs, but it was a roller coaster keeping it off. Like everyone else, have tried so many things and been unsucessfull. I look forward to hearing about everyone pre and post journey as we go through a new chapter in our lives. Very excited and nervous at the same time.

  13. Good luck to both of you on 3/6. I will keep you in my prayers. I still do not have a surgery date, but waiting patiently. I look forward to reading your progress, good or bad. I know it will help me in my journey.
  14. Good Luck! I'm sure you are excited. I cannot wait to have mine. I do not have a surgery date yet. Waiting for Insurance to approve.
