I was sleeved on 1/20 and was 100% liquid for the first week before I moved to purees. I've been on purees (Per Drs order) since Saturday but I'm finding that I'm having trouble consuming anything other than sugar free popsicles, yogurt, and milk. I know I'm supposed to be doing the Protein shakes, I can't stomach them. A friend went to tropical smoothie cafe and got me my favorite, a pb&j protein smoothie - it made me nauseus after 4 sips. So for the last 11 days I've been surviving on sf popsicles and the little nibbles of food I manage to force into myself.
I can't decide if it's the texture of the foods or the taste of the foods that just isn't sitting well with me. Sometimes it's the texture, sometimes when I eat things don't sit right in my sleeve. Sometimes it's the taste. The funny thing is, I've been rotating the same 4 foods since Saturday: eggs, refried Beans, canned chicken, and fat free cream of chicken Soup. None of them appeal to me, sometimes they don't sit right, yesterday they gave me heartburn, today they gave me gas... I'm at a loss! Even pureed fuit just isn't working for me right now. I'm supposed to go to mushies next week too but I'm in no position to be comsuming real food at this point. I feel like I want to just stop eating for another two weeks and then try again.
Anybody have any simiilar issues? Have any recipes that went down easy? I'd love to be able to eat, especially since I go back to work Monday, I just really can't stomach anything consistantly.
