  • nbjen - I can't remember if you have Dr. Oh or not. I had my nutrition class today and then I went to Vitalady for my Vitamins and Protein drink. I really was not all that excited about the protein.

Hey...Auntie Phyl...just noticed you signature line, great verse, one of my favorites (obviously, since I have it in my signature too). We all need that strength from time to time!!!

I'm so bummed . . . .I was planning on going to the support group but my girls back-to-school night is on Monday and I need to meet their teachers. I'm hoping to make October 1'st even though I will just be getting back from a cruise that day. I will have to see how that goes.

That's a little early for me cuz I'm still picking up kids from after school sports and running them around. How about 5:30 at the mall.

Sue - maybe you can bring Taylor here at 5pm and David can take them to soccer. If it's raining I think Anna will stay home and do homework instead.

Do we really have to walk or can we just visit and catch up?

Phyl - I had my surgery in Olympia, WA by Dr. Neal. He and his staff are awesome. I am anxious to get past the post op pain...and to start feeling human again!

Coastgirl - glad you could join our little group! The post op pain does eventually go away and you will feel great! Take it easy and don't push yourself to hard. I just got back from a 2+ mile walk in the rain. I never would of done that before this surgery. It won't belong before you will be feeling like the rest of us. . . . happy to be banded!

Sue and Wendy, 5:30 is fine with me.....and we don't have to walk if you don't want to. I might come earlier and get that part done myself, though.

My DH is going to do the 5:30 kid shuffle, so I'm free after I do the 4:00 kid drop-off. I can meet at 5:00, we can walk then meet Wendy at 5:30 if that works for you. We can carpool down to St Joes, though it might be better to park the cars in St Joe's valet rather than mall parking?

Anybody else heading to St Joe's support group tonight? Want to meet to walk?

Coastlgrl...

Maybe I missed it, but when was your banding? Recovery may seem to drag a little, but in no time you'll look back & say "that wasn't so bad"

Sue

Hey Sue, sounds good to me. I also have to hit Vitalady this afternoon after my fill.....and then JoAnn fabrics.....bummer (LOL)...to waste time so as to not go over the bridge and back, etc.....so, see you at 5:00.....If you want to meet earlier give me a call.

Forgive me.... I saw it in yours & pasted it in to mine, too. Not only a favorite of mine but so appropriate for this journey we are on!! I should've asked you first if it was okay! sorry.

I wanted to ask.... anyone been to the fair?? We went on Saturday with our daughter and her family. I ate FAIR FOOD!! I was extremely cautious, but I did have a few bites of a funnel cake, one scone and some BBQ from the Young Life booth. They were very kind and allowed my husband to persuade them to give me only the meat, no bun. They put it in a little styrofoam cup and let me have both cole slaw and beans instead of one or the other. So I had these three little cups.. probably held about 1 cup each. I had maybe 1/2 of each. My patient hubby, who is trying so hard to "HELP" me, watched me eat and sat patiently by until I was finished and then he ate the rest. A big sacrifice on his part because he's one of those people who has to have his food HOT!! I was satisfied but not FULL and uncomfortable. we were there for 5+ hours, so I think I did okay!? I had my first fill last MOnday.
