Sue,

I didn't get to make it last night. We ended up having people stop by and then didn't leave til after 7. I bummed! What did he seem like? Any idea on prices? It will be nice to meet him on Monday.

I'm really having a problem getting in my second shake. I never seem to remember til I'm lying in bed at night - urgh! Maybe I need to have it at lunch time instead of waiting til night. Anyone else having this problem?

Hi!

Got my TT surgery date! April 15! Yippee! Not the best for hubby. He might be out of town....BUT I have good family and girlfriends who are happy to help me out!!!! Happy birthday present to me! My bd is April 19! I MIGHT feel lilke partying a LITTLE after 4 days!

Dawn! Missed you last nite! There really wasn't any food or even drink we could have.....all the drinks were carbonated....Sue and I DID each get a little cube of cheese. Everything else scared me.....LOL He seems like a really nice guy. I think he'll be a lot of fun at the support meeting on Monday.

Merrillee

Seattle Girl, Don't know who your doc is, but, yes, you may get to have a little bit of mushies...or at least Protein Drink if you haven't had that already. Dr. Oh had us on just liuids for the first two weeks and then we were able to add the Protein drink for the next couple, then we graduated to mushies. I think Dr. Shrinkath adds mushies at the 2 week appt. Hang in there! It's all worth it!!! I promise!

Mer...

How exciting! (In an Ouch kind of way)

You are going to look so fabulous!

I'm not sure what your DH is like, but i don't know that I would really be too upset if my DH was gone post-op. He's great with helping around the house and with the kids, but sometimes he can make me a little nuts when I want to rest and he's running around like a chicken with its head cut off. Oh well, he is very helpful, just not very good with "sick" people, girlfriends are so much more nurturing and compassionate.

100!!!!

HAPPY...HAPPY, JOY...JOY!!!

It's my 100 pound day!!!

It's been such a good day! I finally dropped that one last lb to hit 100...my scales has been torturing me at 99.5 for days!!!

It was my Bible Study day so I got to share it this morning with some really good friends, they are so supportive, and I was wearing my size 12 pants for the 1st time! Then I had a dental cleaning and my dentist gave me free teeth whitening ($450) as a congrats gift. People have been asking me all day if I'm at my goal weight (they can't see my thighs with my jeans on...LOL). I had dinner out with DH (so the scale might not say 100 tomorrow...oh well), and it's just been a great day.

There's so often that we (at least I do) come on-line to gripe, so I just had to share my great day!

Hope you all had a great Valentines Day too!

Hey all...

Who's heading to the St Joes meeting tonight? The Plastic Surgeon is gong to be there...I'm really looking forward to hearing what he's got to say. I think I will hit the mall before, maybe a little dinner and a walk (though I already walked this AM, a little extra certainly won't hurt).

Anybody want to join me?

Hi all my lapband was installed at high noon on Valentines day and I came home the next day. The following day I had my last pain pill and metformin and my diabetes sugar levels have been wonderfully low..

I am doing really well and other than the shoulder pain I was warned about and gas and finally having that first BM  feel that my recovery is in warp speed..

I know there will be days not so good, and all, but I am very optimistic for the future..

I don't think I will make it to the St.Joes meeting but will look forward to future meetings and making new buddies.

CONGRATS Carol!

So glad everything is going so well, look forward to meeting you soon!

Take it easy, even if you feel great, no need to go past your limits to find out where that limit is, just take some time to baby yourself and your band.

Hi Sue, Mer and hopefully lots more,

I'll be at the meeting tonight. Can't wait. I made us come home early from the ocean for it. I've been waiting all month!!! I'm hoping that it will be very informative. Do you think he'll look at us and tell us what he thinks? Maybe that's asking too much.

See you there,

Dawn:tt2:

Sure would be nice to get a ball-park idea of both possibilities and cost, but might have to go for a consult to get any individualize estimate. Im sure going to be taking notes!

See ya there!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
