It may depend on the state you are in. In Illinois medicaid patients must meet all of the surgeons criteria, they do the surgery and medicaid pays for it. No prior authorization needed. Good Luck!

As far as I know here in NY medicaid does not cover the sleeve. My cousin had to have RNY because of this.

in VA my step sis is starting the process, think she said it only approved sleeve and bypass, after a year of regulated doc visits.
