BCBS of Florida Federal Employees Program

Hello all,

Since I'm thinking of moving to Florida, and since more then likely, if I do I'll be teaching, I started checking out BCBS of Florida. I read the federal employees policy and weight loss surgery is covered, but what about after care?

I had my surgery done here in Portugal and I want to know if they will cover fills, and/or any complications I might have even though the surgery wasn't done there.

Any one had any experience with this?

I`would email them and find out. From what I have learned BCBS does not cover the band. GEHA a national Fed Ins Co does cover it. I had to change Inc co this past open season to get it covered. Good Luck

Hi. I have BCBS Ohio FEP and my aftercare and fills are covered. I'm still getting all my stuff together, so we'll see. Attached is the info I rec'd from them. Hope it helps. (oh, and hope it attaches OK too). if you check out about mid way thru, the HCPS codes have something in there for fills. Now this is Ohio, you should call you ins and ask for something in writing like this...
