I'm scheduled for October 14th in Grinnell, Iowa with Dr. Stephen Sundberg. I'm past being nervous now, I'm excited!! I am getting a little tired of my pre-op diet, but it's a means to an end-the end of the UNHEALTHY me!!! I'm in love with this forum, and since I will be off of work for 6 weeks after the surgery, I'll probably be one here quite a bit out of pure boredom if nothing else lol. Wishing everyone well!!

That's funny Chris! I had to start my pre-op diet last Friday terrih1, they're making me do it for 2 weeks. Today was pretty hard because we went grocery shopping for a pot luck we're going to this weekend...I was just about drooling by the time we left the store. My poor hubby was saying things like "here, look, cheese!! You can have cheese!!" and I'm standing there eye-balling the cinnamon rolls. One more week, eye on the prize, one more week... lol! I'm so glad that there are other people going through this with me!!!

Oh, no, Heller!! I'm sorry, lol! I didn't even realize that! I only said that cause her name is 'smallgirls'!! I'm sorry! It was not meant in any way to size....oh,man....and here we all are, persecuted our whole lives cause of our size, and I have to go and put my foot in my mouth!

So, you can be SlenderSteph!!! :D

I 100% know that you did not intend it, and I honestly am not offended at all. At first when I read it I though, huh why does she get to be "smallsteph" then I realized her name too. I honestly laughed out loud. You're wonderful to organize the October Sleevers !

Smallgirlsxthree has been an email/screen name for about 10 years-I have 3 small girls, last name is small...play on words lol. I have never in my life been called small, little, petite, cute, slender or anything like that-other than my last name!!! Stephanie, once we start rocking this sleeve, we can call ourselves the Slender Sleeve Sisters!! :P

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
