Hi, I'm Kara. I am being sleeved in 5 days ( 9/7/11) here in Washington state. I'm super nervous, but looking forward to just getting it done. I've gotten such great info on this site, been lurking for awhile, finally decided to just introduce myself and say Hi! Someone, please tell me that the pre-op jitters go away!!! That's my biggest issue right now!

Welcome! I just got my sleeve on Tuesday. I of course, had the jitters too but once I was actually at the hospital is when it left. I was prepared, educated, and ready. Jitters are normal! You will do great! Good luck!

Hi Kara-ann! I'm in WA too but my surgery isn't until the 19th. You will do GREAT!

Hi! I'm having my surgery at Madigan Army Medical Center with Dr. Martin. I have heard from the support group that he is good, and he seemed nice when I met him.

I wish i could say the jitters go away, but I'd be lying. At least mine didn't, until I was rolled into the OR. Then I knew I had made the right decision. Best of luck, I was just sleeved Monday, with no one here for moral support and I made it through. You will, too!
