  1. I had a drain, not my favorite thing, but not too bad. I didn't like emptying it and measuring the contents. I do think that it helped me heal faster. It was in for 7 days and removal felt kind of like a quick cramp and then I felt fine.
  2. Hi. I'm being sleeved tomorrow, 9/7/11. I'm scared, nervous, curious and excited all at once! I thought for sure by now I would have had at least one freak out...not yet!! I keep telling myself, it's because I'm a grown up...lol!! It will probably happen tomorrow on the way to hospital and freak out my husband and mom, so we'll all be a big hot mess together. Lol!! Well, here I go... On to smaller ( not bigger!!!) and better things! wish me luck! -kara
  3. Hi! I'm having my surgery at Madigan Army Medical Center with Dr. Martin. I have heard from the support group that he is good, and he seemed nice when I met him. -kara
  4. Hi, I'm Kara. I am being sleeved in 5 days ( 9/7/11) here in Washington state. I'm super nervous, but looking forward to just getting it done. I've gotten such great info on this site, been lurking for awhile, finally decided to just introduce myself and say Hi! Someone, please tell me that the pre-op jitters go away!!! That's my biggest issue right now!
