Halloween (Oct. 31) - What will you Weigh?

Recommended Posts

Been a while since I checked in. But its been a while since my weight has moved too. I am close to the Halloween goal! Just 6 more to go, I am pretty sure I'll get there if I stay on the path. Its no joke that once you get within 20lbs of goal how much slower and harder it is for it to go away. But I'll get there just like all of you wonderful people here. :)

2 more down, 6 more to go!

SN: Raine

Starting Wt: 176

Current: 171

Goal: 165

Lbs to Goal: 6

Well, another stall week for me and no net loss. :-( But, I did expect it after a big loss last week. I've been gaining and loosing the same 2# all week. Just have to keep focused and it will come. I probably won't make my goal, but I'm just going to get as close as I can. I like to set the bar high, it does motivate me to try harder.

I have been in a stall the past 2 weeks so I have revised my Halloween goal to something that I may achieve. I am hoping the stall breaks and I blow right past this goal.

I think I can do this! I have about 4 weeks left and thats only about 2 lbs a week! I am going to give it my all. Good luck everyone!

It will take an act of God for me to lose 10.4 lbs by the end of this challenge but I thought it would take an act of God for me to lose damn close to 100 lbs in 8 1/2 months so I am still feeling pretty good about my progress. This has been a terrible week emotionally as my beloved pet of 12 years passed away unexpectedly of liver failure and I had to make the decision dreaded by every pet owner. The old bad eating habits were out in full force as I continued to attempt to comfort myself with food. That's where the sleeve as a tool came in, when i fell back to the old habits, my sleeve was able to limit the damage that i might do. this is where i say to all those who feel like we took the easy way out...the sleeve is a tool, i still have to make the hard decisions and choices myself. Have a great weekend all!!

I'm so sorry to hear about the passing of your pet. I have 4 horses, 5 cats and 1 handicapped dog- so I know all too well the pain of loosing a pet. To me they are more than just pets, they become like children. I know they get more pampering than I do, but the love they give us unconditionally is just beyond anything I can put into words.

I agree with you also about the sleeve being a saving grace during difficult times like this. I have already been tested during an extremely busy/ stressful couple of weeks about a month ago, although not anything like loosing a pet- but I fell "off the wagon" the sleeve kept me from doing too much damage and for that I am so thankful. Fortunately, once that stressful period passed I was able to get right back on track and continue with the weight loss journey.

Hang in there and give yourself time to grieve.

Hi all,

Another slow week this week. I lost .8 lbs. Not sure if it's a coincidence, the 4 steroid shots I got in my finger joints on Monday, or the 21/2 donuts, Peanut Butter snack crackers, or cup of bar mix I chowed down on this week. It's gonna be quite close if I get to goal with 4.6 lbs. to lose in the next 16 days. I'm gonna need two solid weeks of good weight loss to get there. Keep your fingers crossed for me!!!

I am hungrier and more energetic, so I guess the honeymoon period is starting to wane. Good news is I have already lost more than 90 lbs., I have less than 10 lbs. to go to a normal BMI, and I get all my Protein from food almost every day.

What a great week! Had a stall last week. This week I dropped 7#- yeah!! AND.... I'm in onderland to boot!! 10# by Halloween is still pretty aggressive, but I have a hunch I will get close- gonna have a bunch of things going on next week that will have me doing a TON of walking. So we will see how it goes.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
