I was just wondering if anyone out there had surgery or is having surgery at Georgetown hospital in Ky. I'd love to hear any experiences you may want to share...length of stay after the procedure and how you were treated by the staff, how was the facility?..accomadating, clean, etc..who was your surgeon and how do you feel about him? I heard one surgeon has left and wondered if he would be replaced, if anyone knows details about this, I'd like to hear about it. Good or bad experiences.

My doctor mentioned someone leaving at our last support group meeting and that Bluegrass Bariatrics was going to be doing surgeries there from now on. I had my surgery in Louisville but the surgeons are great.

She had heard nothing about bluegrass bariatrics.She said Dr. Sonnanstine is leaving for Ohio in September but Dr. Rasmussen will be staying and performing the surgeries there at Georgetown. I will stick with Dr.Rasmussen since I'm new and haven't seen either of them. There is quite a write up on him at the website.

I had heard the same thing that CCBDEKE heard, and it coincides with your information ... Dr. Sonnanstine is leaving. Dr. Rasmussen is staying BUT he is joining the Bluegrass Bariatrice team with Dr. Weis and Oldham.

CCBDEKE, where you at the last meeting a couple of weeks ago with the Behavioral Therapist. Looking at your avatar, you look familiar. Were you there with your wife who was having surgery the next week?
