20 Mi Hiking & NO LOSS!

I went on vacation to the mountains and hiked up mountain trails 3-6 miles each day for 6 days. I drank the right amount of water, took my vitamins, ate between 600-800 calories, stayed low carb and around 72-90 grams of protein. When I got home - THE SCALE HAD NOT MOVED. That was the most exercise of my life and NOTHING happened. Just disappointed - needed somewhere to vent!

Do you recommend additional carbs or protein for the extra calories? I've been shooting for 90 gms protein and so most food is protein in the form of meat, shake, or Greek yogurt. I track every bite through a sparkpeople app on my phone. I track all outdoor exercise via GPS on the endomondo app. I should mention that I'm always constipated now (TMI?), so it's possible that some carbs in the form of fiber might help. Thanks again for the support!

You don't need more carbs. Keeping your carbs below 50 a day is a good guideline, it's the water, to rebuild muscle (after you tear them which working out does) it requires a lot of water.
