I am upset/depressed not about the lack of things I can eat, but the lack of things I can do with my kids. I have 3 little girls a 3yr old, a 4yr old and 6 yr old and time is just flying by and I'm missing my summer with them. I can't pick things up really, I can't go swimming with them...I don't even want to go play outside with them because I'm still in pain! THIS SUCKS!!!! I realize I'm whining and venting...but wanted to get this out!

Awww it's ok you will get your stamina back. I can't tell you how fast, but actually it took me about 4 months to feel 100% normal - however now at 10 months out I have more energy now than I can ever remember!! What you are going through right now will be so worth it in the end.

I so feel ya!! I have a 7, 5 and 2. Good news is I'm really almost back to normal 2 wks out with energy returning. Doc says I'm clear for pool next week too! Just remember this is a short term time sacrifice, but the long term health and energy you will gain will be priceless!!! :) Joan

I'm so sorry, I know it must be difficult!! But just think of it this way: You may be losing a few wks of your summer getting to do fun things, but you are gaining yrs of better health, easier mobility, which = many many good quality times with your family!!! I can already do so much more with my family, and I still have a good bit of weight to lose. I can't wait to be free of my prison of fat completely! It has held me AND my family back for so long.

Your precious girls are gonna absolutely LOVE their happier, healthier, more energetic mommy.

:)

I agree with Irene...it may be hard now, and I know it is, I have a three year old, but it will be soooo worth it later. Not to mention next summer. Goodness, you will be an entirely new person by then. More energy than your kids!!!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
