Monday of Clearance Appointments Two Down Five More to Go

Hi All!

Today was a great day for me. I was off from work and had my first two pre op appointments since making the decision to have the Vertical Sleeve. I first met with the Pulm this morning who was very nice. Its so nice going to a doctor for a happy reason ie bariatric surgery. He is doing a sleep study for me has anyone had one of those? They think I might have sleep apena mild but thats a good thing because it will put me ahead of line with my surgery. That condidtion plus my PCOS is pretty much autmoatic approval by insurance.

Then I went to the psych consult I have underlying mental illness to begin with but I am treated for it and it has nothing to do with my obesity. PCOS is why I am heavy. Well that went well and I am starting going to support group next week! I am so excited its really hear it wasnt real to me until I saw the first two doctors.

Congrats on getting the first 2 appointments out of the way. Sleep studies are very common - and most people will be diagnosed with sleep apnea.
