Welcome to the site and congratulations on making it through the first step. I don't have Kaiser, so I can't help with your question, but wanted to welcome you. :)

Welcome and good luck on your journey!

I don't know what Mid-Atlantic means with Kaiser, but I have Kaiser and live in Northern California. I did not have to do the options classes, but Southern California does. Those classes are 12 weeks long and you have to attend every single one of them and they are strict about it!

My experience with them was mainly testings, classes and evaluations. I had to do a pre-op diet and lose 25lbs. That was pretty much it! Easy peasy! I could have done it a lot faster, but from start to finish it took me 6 months!

Keep us posted on your progress!

Kelly ;)

I'm Southern California Kaiser and I had to do a 12 week class, plus all of the testing and had to lose 10% of my body weight before surgery. My process was much longer than most - start to finish I waited 17 months.

Welcome and good luck! Just ask anything you need to ask everyone here will help in anyway they can.
